At the Ivy House, it’s a constantly changing scene, so we have an ever-evolving list of events that are updated regularly. But we also have a schedule of regular activities around which we work, from kids’ drama to knitting classes, from sci-fi clubs to Sunday singarounds.

  • New Lands: Add Some More Blue + Daisy Jean Russell

    Add Some More Blue is a creative synth and bass lead project by Mia Rae making alternative RnB/ electronic indie taking wider influences from jazz, post punk and dance music. The project is made up of a live band of friends that met at Trinity Laban and have carved out unique and ambient sounds with their individual influences, original ideas and approaches to their instruments. If you like: Vegyn, Kelela, John Glacier, Stereolab, Jockstrap and Blood Orange.

    A soft-hearted song slinger from South London, Daisy Jean Russell writes reflective indie folk shaped by playful melodies and tender songwriting. Drawing inspiration from Brian Wilson, Arthur Russell, and Wings, her songs search for meaning in everyday moments and the quiet connections between people. With support from Real Kind Records, Daisy is set to release her debut EP this summer.

  • Frankie Morrow

    Thu 25 June / 19:00 / £11

    Big, fat, dirty, tender, country catharsis from Scotland.

    Inspired by North American rock legends Bob Dylan and Neil Young, and the Celtic folk songs and poetry of Morrow's homeland, this will be her biggest headline show to date complete with 5-piece band. The debut record, Way Out West, will release at midnight on 25 June 2026.

  • Stick In The Wheel

    Stick In The Wheel’s work is rooted in traditional music and song, informed by the modern electronic music that grew out of their hybrid East London heritage.

    This radical East London duo are known for their intense live shows exploring the raw holler of folk, electronica, spoken word and intricate rustic dobro guitar.

  • Free University of Glastonbury

    The Free University has been running at The Crows Nest in the Park Area of Glastonbury Festival for over a decade. Clever / funny / hungover people talking interesting stuff, with the occasional musical interlude. Glastonbury Festival is fallow this year so we are bringing our little Spoken Word corner of the festival from Somerset to SE15.

    All profits to Centrepoint charity - ending youth homelessness.

  • Miki Berenyi

    Rock & Roll Book Club returns to the Ivy House in Nunhead with a very special guest, as Miki Berenyi reveals the highs and lows of navigating the madness of the 90's music industry.

    Formed in 1988, Lush were part of the London gig scene during one of the most vibrant and creative periods in UK music. Now, Miki Berenyi tells all.

  • Goblin Band

    Organised by a group of queer folk obsessive friends and employees of the Hobgoblin Music shop in Central London, and firmly rooted in the traditional music of the British Isles, they draw widely on many other musical genres and cultures, including medieval and early music, as well as the folk musical traditions from abroad.

  • Matching Outfits

    Matching Outfits are a trio of adopted Berliners whose warped, wistful take on indie pop has been compared to “a Super 8 film from the family attic”. Their debut cassette ‘Band Made Out Of Sand’ caught the attention of cult radio station WFMU as well as New Jersey label Bar/None (Yo La Tengo, The Feelies), which signed the band and released their sophomore album ‘Ditch Me’ on July 25th 2025.
