- Providing a genuinely original and exciting selection of Craft beer and Real ale.
- Continuing the pub's tradition of hosting live music performances, live comedy, drama, art exhibitions, and vintage fairs.
- Offering flexible meeting space, work space and drop-in space for start-ups, other community groups, and social enterprises.
- Restoring the West bar and entrance to working order to return the pub to its historic double-fronted saloon/lounge layout.
- Using the extra space in the basement for either a dedicated in-house microbrewery or rehearsal space for musicians.
- Providing affordable artists' studios in what was the residential accommodation on the first floor of the pub.
- Using the backroom theatre and stage for community drama performances and rehearsals.
